Visas: A valid passport is required of all visitors to Bahrain. A visa is also required of all, except for those who are continuing onward via the next connecting flight and have confirmed tickets with appropriate travel documents, or citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. GCC nationals may stay as long as they wish. British passport holders are also exempt from the visa requirement for stays of up to 30 days. ..... Restrictions: You will not be allowed entry to Bahrain if you have Israeli stamps in your passport. Also, if you specify that you are a writer, journalist, or editor, your visa must be sponsored by the Ministry of Information, or you will probably be denied entrance. Be aware that the government does not tolerate the practice of working in the country on a tourist visa.
